Petapalooza 2021

Posted

Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 8th!

It’s time to pamper your fur baby or feathered friend at Petapalooza, the area’s biggest pet play date!

Chestnut Hill is a very pet-friendly community every day, but sponsors Chestnut Hill Business District and Weavers Way Co-op are really rolling the red carpet down Germantown Avenue for our four-legged friends at the return of this annual celebration of everything pet.

Four Events Centers along Germantown Avenue

Four locations at the top of the Hill will feature a veritable pet-pourri of Petapalooza activities, while stores and restaurants along the Avenue will welcome pets and tempt their humans with special offers.

Start your day at the corner of Germantown Avenue and Bethlehem Pike at a petting zoo, hosted by Peaceable Kingdom – a no-kill, non-profit shelter.

As you make your way down the Avenue, don’t miss the events at The Bone Appetite at 8517 Germantown Avenue.  Pet treats, a caricaturist and Noah’s Ark rescue project will be among the activities available outside Chestnut Hill’s iconic pet spot.

The main venue is just steps away at the corner of Germantown and Highland Avenues. East Highland Avenue will host the Petapalooza runway and photo booth, a raffle with tail-wagging prizes, animal rescue organizations and local business exhibitors with everything from pet foods to pet training, grooming and massage to doggy day care.

Cross over the Avenue to 30 West Highland Avenue to enter the Weavers Way parking lot which will feature face painting, Backyard Chickens and a Dog Parkour, an urban agility course of climbing, jumping and balancing for dogs and their humans.

As you stroll down the Avenue, look for balloons outside local pet-friendly businesses and stop by one of the restaurants offering Yappy Hours for people and their pets.
