Harvey Jerome (“Jerry”) Fingeroff, 86, died peacefully in his sleep on June 12, 2021 at his home at The Hill House in Chestnut Hill. A self-proclaimed “deli man,” Jerry owned and operated three successful delicatessens in Philadelphia. Hard-working and dedicated, Jerry valued education and appreciated the philosophy of the Friends schools that educated his children. While somewhat reserved, his dry and mischievous sense of humor was evident by the twinkle in his eye. He was a man who enjoyed art, nature, friendship, and family. After his wife’s debilitating injury in 2015, Jerry lovingly took care of her at home until her death in 2019. He is survived by his three children, Michael, Mary, and Patricia and preceded in death by his son, Jim, and his wife, Pat. Burial will be private.
