Gather up your electronics and bring them to Chestnut Hill College on Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Environment Committee of Weavers Way Coop will be collecting anything with a plug. PAR-RecycleWorks, which recycles sustainably, does collect a fee for some items. Batteries are also collected.
Aside from the fees, the Environment Committee is collecting donations to fund their grant program. This year, they awarded grants for gardens to the Water Tower, Hope Lodge, Whosoever Gospel Mission, Native Station Gardens, Friends of Fernhill Park, Families for Houston, Colonial Canopy Trees, Henry School, Wissahickon Charter School, Friends of Chestnut Hill Library, Robinson Park, Journeywork, and Germantown Residents for Economic Alternatives Together.
You may recycle electronics responsibly by keeping toxic chemicals out of landfills while donating to community groups to beautify our environment.
