The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Sep. 28 to Oct. 4
Sept. 28 Theft, 7900 block of Germantown Ave. A store owner reported that two people took her purse, including wallet keys.
Sept. 28 Theft from vehicle on 200 block of E. Evergreen Ave. A woman told police she packed her Jeep Wrangler at the location and returned to find someone had unzipped its window to take $60 in cash and a pair of sunglasses worth approximately $100 from the vehicle.
Sept. 29 Theft from vehicle on unit block of E. Bells Mill Rd. A woman told police she left her car at Bells Mill to walk through Fairmount Park. When she returned, she found her front passenger side window broken and her handbag and wallet taken. The handbag contained $140 cash, a hoodie and other personal items.

Oct. 3 Theft from Vehicle on unit block of E. Bells Mill Rd. A man told police he parked his car on E. Bells Mill to use the park. When he returned, he found his passenger-side window smashed and a black backpack with clothes and sneakers missing.
