The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the two-week period between November 8 and November 15. Some dates earlier than the current period took place at that date and reported after the fact.

Chestnut Hill

Nov 7 Auto Theft. A car parked in the 8100 block of Devon Rd. was stolen.

Nov 12 Theft. A composite bin, delivered to a residence on Waterman Ave., was stolen. The day before, an iPad had been delivered that had not been ordered. The complainant believes the thief came to pick up the erroneously delivered iPad and left with the wrong package.

Nov 12 Theft from Auto. The mirror glass was removed from the driver-side mirror of a car parked on W. Highland Ave. near Germantown Ave.

Mt. Airy

Oct 31 Auto Theft.  A parked in the first block of Slocum St. was stolen overnight.

Nov 7 Destruction/Vandalism of Property. A window was broken on a car parked in the 700 block of Westview Ave. Nothing was taken.

Nov 8 Aggravated Assault. At Ardleigh St., and E. Washington Lane, a woman was approached by offenders who then proceeded to beat, kick, and punch her. She suffered multiple body bruises and was taken for treatment in a private vehicle.

Nov 8 Theft from Auto. The driver-side rear window was broken on a car parked at Valley Green Rd. and Wolcott Dr. Items taken include two purses, one with glasses and cards, one with cards and $1,000 cash.

Nov 9 Theft from Auto. Tags were removed from a car parked in the 400 block of Montana St.

Nov 10 Theft from Auto. Returning from a walk in the Wissahickon, two sisters returned to their car parked at 1000 Kitchens Lane to discover the passenger-side rear window broken. Items taken include two purses, one wallet, cards, ID, $800 cash, a fannypack, prescription eyeglasses, a SEPTA Pass, $200 in cash. Estimated total value $15,000.

Nov 10 Theft. A woman left a spinning wheel on the lawn of her residence ibn the 300 block of Crest Park Rd. When she returned, she discovered it missing. Estimated value $8.00.

Nov 11 Theft from auto. A car parked on the 6800 block of McCallum Rd. was stolen. The car was retrieved later. The catalytic converter had been cut out.

Nov 11 Auto Theft. A car was stolen from the 500 block of W. Sedgwick St.

Nov 12 Theft. An electric bicycle, locked to a rack, was stolen from the 400 block of E. Willow Grove Ave.

Nov 12 Theft from Auto. The passenger-side window was broken on a car parked on Valley Green Rd. Items removed include a camera bag, containing two lenses and other accessories.

Nov 12 Burglary. A man entered an apartment complex in the 200 block of W. Upsal St. and removed a concrete mixer. Estimated value$1,200.

Nov 13 Auto Theft. A delivery person left his keys in his vehicle, then observed a male drive it away.
