Crime Report: An armed robbery and other thefts

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Nov. 2 to Nov. 8.

Oct. 31 Theft from vehicle, 7600 Stenton Ave. A man returned to his car and found that all four wheels missing. Wheels valued at $1,200.

Nov. 4 Robbery at 7700 block of Crittenden Street. A woman told police that as she was withdrawing money from the Wells Fargo ATM at approximately 6 p.m., a man approached her, brandished a gun and demanded her money. She gave him the $50 she had withdrawn, and the man fled the scene on foot.

Nov. 4 Theft at 7700 Germantown Ave. A woman told police that she placed her bag down to pay for an item at Staples when another woman took her bag and left the store. The woman is known to police and members of the Chestnut Hill Business Association for having committed similar crimes in the business district.

Nov. 7 Theft on the unit block of W. Gravers Lane. A woman said she left her watch at an office. She returned later but the watch was gone.
