The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Sep. 14 to Sep 20
Sept. 14 Theft from vehicle, 8800 block of Crefeld St. A man reported that his vehicle had been parked in the early morning hours at the location on Sept. 10. When he returned to his vehicle, he found the passenger-side window broken and a pair of sunglasses worth $200 taken.
Sep. 19: Rape at Chestnut Hill Tower, 7600 Stenton Ave. A woman told police that she was raped by an acquaintance who she had agreed to “cuddle with” in bed. She fell asleep and said she woke up later to find the man on top of her. He pulled her pants down and penetrated her against her will. Police are searching for the offender.
Sept. 19: Burglary, 100 block of W. Mermaid Lane. A woman told police that she left her home and garage secured on Sept. 18. When she returned on Sept. 20, she found that someone had forced entry to her garage and had taken two Trek bicycles and assorted tools worth a combined $2,000.
