The following is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from Sept. 8 to Sept. 15. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

Sept. 10. Theft. A complainant reported that unknown offenders stole $2,500 worth of tools out of their car at the Unit Block of West Willow Grove Avenue.  

Sept. 10. Shoplifting. An unknown woman stole a gold-colored necklace from a jewelry store at the 8100 Block of Germantown Avenue. 

Sept. 12. Motor Vehicle Theft. A student at Chestnut Hill College reported his car keys stolen from his dorm room and his Dodge Challenger missing at the 9600 Block of Germantown Ave. 

Sept. 15. A man stole cosmetic items from ACME and fled at the 7700 Block of Crittenden Street. 

Mt. Airy

Sept. 6. Theft. A woman reported a package stolen at the 6600 Block of Germantown Avenue. 

Sept. 7. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his Hyundai Sonata stolen at the Unit Block of Roumfort Road. 

Sept. 8. Shoplifting. An offender stole snacks from Wawa at the 7200 Block of Germantown Avenue. 

Sept. 9. Theft. A man reported his firearm stolen from his car at the 6400 Block of Cherokee Street. 

Sept. 9. An offender stole as much candy and snacks as they could grab from Wawa and fled at the 7200 Block of Germantown Avenue. 

Sept. 9. Motor Vehicle Theft. After returning from vacation, a man reported his Cadillac Escalade stolen at the 300 Block of Gorgas Lane. 

Sept. 9. Motor Vehicle Theft. A man reported his Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen at the 7100 Block of Bryan Street. 

Sept. 10. Shoplifting. A 16-year-old offender stole food from Wawa at the 7200 Block of Germantown Avenue. 

Sept. 10. Theft. A resident at Cliveden Nursing Center reported his gold ring stolen off his finger while sleeping at the 6400 Block of Greene Street. 

Sept. 13. Theft. A man reported the catalytic converter stolen from his car at the 200 Block of Slocum Street. 

Sept. 14. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported that two unknown offenders broke into her Kia Seltos, stole an iPhone and damaged the steering column at the 500 Block of West Hortter Street. 

Sept. 14. Shoplifting. A man stole food from the Grocery Outlet at the Unit Block of West Hortter Street. 

Sept. 14. Motor Vehicle Theft. An unknown offender stole a Chevrolet 1500 at the 6400 Block of Emlen Street. 

Sept. 15. Motor Vehicle Theft. A woman reported her Kawasaki motorcycle stolen at the 200 Block of West Mount Pleasant Avenue.
