The following report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from May 8 - 14. 

Chestnut Hill

May 7 Theft. A woman reported four checks and $200 in cash being stolen from her wallet on the 7600 block of Germantown Avenue. 

May 7 Shoplifting. A complainant reported an offender entering Serendipity, a store located on the 8500 block of Germantown Avenue, and leaving with merchandise they did not pay for. 

May 8 Theft. A complainant reported a bicycle being stolen out of a garage on the 200 block of West Chestnut Hill Avenue.

May 8 Vandalism. A woman reported her car being broken into on the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue. The steering column was left broken. 

May 10 Theft from motor vehicle. A man reported having his car broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Valley Trail entrance by Wolcott Drive and Valley Green Road. A wallet was stolen. 

May 11 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their car being broken into near the Wissahickon Valley Trail entrance on Valley Green Road. The window was shattered and $700 in cash was stolen. 

May 13 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their car being broken into near the Wissahickon Valley Trail entrance on Valley Green Road. The window was shattered and multiple items, including a phone and $850 in cash, were stolen. 

May 13 Theft from motor vehicle. A man reported his car being broken into near the Wissahickon Valley Trail entrance on Valley Green Road. The window was shattered and an iPad was stolen. 

May 13 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their car being broken into near the Wissahickon Valley Trail entrance on Valley Green Road. The window was shattered and multiple items, including clothes and a bag, were stolen. 

May 14 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their car being broken into on the 100 block of West Northwestern Avenue. The window was shattered and multiple items, including a purse and $200 in cash, were stolen. 

May 14 Theft from motor vehicle. A woman reported her car being broken into on the 100 block of West Northwestern Avenue. The window was shattered and multiple items, including a purse and an iPhone, were stolen. 

Mt. Airy 

May 9 Vandalism. A woman reported her car being broken into on the 6800 block of Quincy Street. The window was shattered and the steering column was broken. 

May 9 Theft. A woman reported a package being stolen from her property on the 100 block of West Johnson Street.

May 10 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported having their car broken into while parked on the 6500 block of Park Line Drive. The window was shattered and multiple items, including clothes, a purse, a laptop and medication, were stolen. 

May 13 Theft. A firearm was stolen from a man’s bag while he played basketball at Mt. Airy Playground, located on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue. 

May 14 Theft. A complainant dropped their wallet in the Acme located on the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue. An offender stole cash and credit cards out of the wallet before putting it back on the ground. 

May 14 Burglary. A woman reported her boyfriend breaking into her house, located on the unit block of East Cliveden Street, and stealing items, including an Apple Watch.
