Parents and guardians interested in learning more about the Jenks Academy for the Arts and Sciences, 8301 Germantown Ave., in Chestnut Hill, are invited to the school’s Backyard Bonfire event 6:30 to 8 p.m., Oct. 27. Attendees can chat with Principal Corinne Scioli and Jenks’ teachers and parents. The event is outdoors and for adults only, though infants 12 months and under are welcome. Registration is required.
