SEPTA announced last week that it would resume limited, weekday-only service on its Chestnut Hill West Line. That line has been closed last year when initial stay-at-home orders closed nearly all services across the city.
According to a SEPTA press release, Service will resume on Monday, March 8, with service from 5:51 a.m. until approximately 8 p.m.
“We are thrilled to welcome back riders on the Chestnut Hill West Line,” said SEPTA General Manager Leslie S. Richards. “The early morning trains will help essential employees get to work, and trips throughout the day will give riders more travel options.”
The transit agency said weekend and evening service would not be available on the line and that ticket offices at its stations would remain closed.
