Jazz at Woodmere, the popular music series featuring the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, will kick off its Friday night fall season Oct 4 with a tribute to Sarah Vaughan, the first in a program of concerts that highlight jazz, blues and a little bit of pop and R&B.

So far, two concerts at the program’s home base, Woodmere Art Museum, are already sold out: the music of The Isley Brothers on Oct. 18 and Whitney Houston on Dec. 6. But you still have a chance to grab a ticket to eight other concerts that elevate an indigenous genre of American music.
