Crime Report: Three thefts from vehicles and one theft

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from March 11 to March 17, 2019.

March 11. Theft on the 8000 block of Germantown Avenue. The owner of the Shell gas station told police between Feb. 27 and March 10, an unknown person broke the lock off of the vacuum/air machine located outside of the gas station and removed approximately $350 in loose change.

March 11. Theft from vehicle on Valley Green Road. A woman told police that she parked her car on Valley Green Road and walked her dog in the park. She returned to her car after approximately 45 minutes and noticed that her front driver’s side window was smashed, and a jar of change was removed from inside the vehicle. The jar of change was valued at $200. No time reported.

March 11. Theft from vehicle on Wolcott Drive and McCallum Street. A woman told police that an unknown person broke the passenger side window of her vehicle and took her wallet, which contained $200 in cash and her debit card. No time reported.

March 15. Theft from vehicle on Valley Green Road. Vehicle’s rear window broken to gain access to $100 in cash inside vehicle.
