WHITEWATER IN CHESTNUT HILL: Robinson Fredenthal’s mammoth geometrical, stainless steel sculpture, “White Water,” originally commissioned as part of the Independence Mall redevelopment in 1978, made its way from Old City at 3:30 a.m. on the morning of Monday, March 18 to be installed at the Woodmere Art Museum, its new permanent home, at 8 a.m. “Fredenthal is one of Philadelphia’s most significant sculptors, and we are thrilled that one of his most intriguing and elegant creations will become a new monument on Germantown Avenue, right at the corner of Bells Mill Road,” said the museum’s CEO and director, William Valerio.
