CHCA continues to re-tree the Avenue

Posted

As part of its ongoing stewardship activities, the CHCA routinely reviews the health of older trees and those planted during the 2015 Re-Tree Initiative. Recently, with funding provided through a gift from the James A. Black, Jr. Estate, six new trees were planted on East Willow Grove and Germantown avenues. These trees are replacing ginko trees that had died. The Chestnut Hill Business Improvement District contributed funding for the removal of the dead trees. The new trees were planted by David Brothers Landscape Services employees (from left) Eric Carter, Nicolas Velazquez and Dan Bradley.
