Fall season is our busiest time of the year, as the Chestnut Hill Community Association brings our special magic to the Hill with our Black & White Gala (Oct. 6), rescheduling our Movie Under the Stars “Beauty and the Beast” to Wizard & Wands (Oct. 19), Circle of Trees Tree Lighting at Woodmere and Chestnut Hill Tree Tenders Fall Planting (both Nov. 17), Christmas Holiday House Tour (Dec. 8) and Children’s Holiday Parade (Dec. 15). We’re also relaunching our Streetscape Committee next month, getting out New Resident Welcome Boxes, and waiting to meet all of you at Fall for the Arts (Sept. 30) at our membership table. All of this will happen before the first day of Winter on December 21, and makes us appreciate our volunteers – past, present and future. That’s where you come in!
As the Chestnut Hill Community Association celebrates our 70th anniversary, we are extending an open invitation to get to know more about us and join us as a volunteer in this milestone year.
In addition to “expert” roles, we are always in great need of architects, builders, urban planners, attorneys, preservationists and real estate professionals who can help us with the challenges that we face today in residential conservation, preservation, development and green space efforts. We need volunteers like you to step up for our events and committees. Many committees like the Holiday House Tour Committee are short, 60minute meetings every two weeks until the event, and are a great way to get to know your neighbors. You can also volunteer for a day at many events.
Reach out to our Executive Director Anne McNiff at 215-248-8811 to find out about our volunteer opportunities. We hope you will join us!
