The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Sept. 17 to Sept. 23, 2018.
Sept. 17. Theft on the 8400 block of Germantown Avenue on Sept. 14 at approximately 1:30 p.m. The manager for Weaver’s Way Market identified an offender who has on at least five separate occasions come into the store and taken various items. The offender was I.D. by manager on their security video. The items are valued at approximately $1,000.
Sept. 19. Theft on the unit block of West Evergreen Avenue at approximately 8:31 a.m. A man told police that his Ross 10-Speed Mountain Bike was taken from a bike rack. The bike is valued at $400.
Sept. 21. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of Willow Grove Avenue. The owner told police that the vehicle was parked at the above location, when an unknown person broke the passenger side of his black Jeep and removed a garage door opener. The item is valued at $50.
Sept. 21. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of Willow Grove Avenue. Between 7 p.m. on Sept. 20 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 21, an unknown person ransacked the inside of her unlocked vehicle. Nothing was taken at this time.
Sept. 21. Theft from vehicle on the 200 block of Cross Lane. At the above location between 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Sept. 21, an unknow person broke the front passenger side window in order to ransack the inside. Nothing reported taken at the time.
Summary: Seven crimes for the week - Three thefts from vehicles and four thefts.
