Maxine J. Weiner, a retired clinical social worker who practiced in the Philadelphia area for almost 40 yrs, passed away on September 1, 2018 after a long fight with a chronic illness. Ms Weiner was an idealistic woman who advocated for the chronically mentally ill with limited access to services. She was also a folk singer and fiddle player. Her friends and family will be saddened by their loss of a loyal cousin and a caring friend. Donations may be made in her memory to WHYY National Public Radio and PBS TV.
