Crime Report: One auto theft and four thefts from vehicles

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from July 30 to Aug. 5, 2018.

July 30. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of Highland Avenue. A man told police that sometime between July 29 at 11 p.m. and July 30 at noon, someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took the following items: one leather wallet containing a credit card, debit card, PA State ID card and an unknown amount of loose change. Items are valued at $50.

July 31. Theft from vehicle on the 8100 block of Seminole Street. A woman told police that she parked her vehicle in the driveway on July 30 at 5 p.m. When she returned on July 31 at 8 a.m., she noticed a bag of quarters missing and the vehicle ransacked. The vehicle was left unlocked. The items are valued at $3.

July 31. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of West Southampton Avenue at approximately 12 a.m. A man told police that he came outside and noticed his iPod was missing from his vehicle. Nothing else was taken. There was no damage to the vehicle. The iPod is valued at $300.

July 31. Auto Theft on the unit block of West Southampton Avenue. A man told police he saw his father’s car on July 30 at 7 p.m. When he came outside on July 31 at 6:30 a.m., the vehicle was missing. The vehicle was a 2011 Black Audi A4 Pa. license plate JRW-9227. The vehicle is valued at $10,000.

Aug. 1. Theft from vehicle on the 300 block of West Gravers Lane. A woman told police that she parked her vehicle and left it unlocked in the driveway. Then, two white males went into her vehicle and took $10 in cash at approximately 4:40 p.m. The homeowner does have a security camera which recorded the incident.
