Crime Report: One burglary and one theft

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from April 30 to May 6, 2018.

April 30. Theft on 8400 block of Germantown Avenue at approximately 3:20 p.m. Manager at the store said three females entered the store about 10 seconds a part and went to different sections of the store. Female 1 stayed in the front of the store while female 2 and 3 talked to her. Manager noticed female 1 leave the store first with a large silver tote bag over her shoulder. She then went to the front of the store and found five empty hangers. The women walked southbound on Germantown Avenue. Taken were five pieces of various clothing including two dresses, two pants and one top, Point Match Brand. The items are valued at approximately $400.

April 30. Burglary on the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue on April 26 at approximately 7 a.m. A woman told police that her front door was unlocked when she returned home from work on April 26. She said one of the windows in the living room was open and that there were shoe prints on the floor. She told the police she didn’t notice anything missing as of the police report.
