Robert Patterson Mann (Pat), age 93, of Normandy Farms Estates, died on March 24, 2018.
He was the devoted husband of the late Mary L. (Gilmour) Mann and is survived by his loving children and their spouses: Muffie and Peter Landreth, and Robert P., Jr. and Virginia Mann. He is also survived by two grandsons, Peter M. Landreth, Jr. and Christopher D. Landreth; by step-grandchildren Katharine and Geoffrey; by his great-grandson, David N. Landreth; and by five step-great-grandchildren.
Pat was born in Atlantic City, NJ to Frederick C. and Regina (Lentz) Mann. He attended Germantown Academy and graduated in 1942. He then served at a Lt. Junior Grade and Pilot in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945. Returning from service, Pat went on to complete his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering at Dartmouth College, graduating in 1946.
Pat went on to work for Tasty Baking before founding Mann & Rodgers Machine Company, Inc. with his friend John C. Rodgers. He was also an avid sportsman who enjoyed skiing as well as playing golf, tennis and squash.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 18, 2018, Normandy Farms Estates Auditorium, 9000 Twin Silo Drive, Blue Bell, PA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Germantown Academy, 340 Morris Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
