Crime Report: Two thefts from vehicles and two thefts

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Sept. 25 to Oct. 1, 2017.

Sept. 25. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of Valley Green Road at approximately 3 p.m. A woman told police she was hiking in the area. When she returned to her vehicle, she discovered her front passenger window had been broken. The following items were stolen: multiple bank cards, school books, one white purse containing a wallet and one ring. Also missing was her social security card and several bank cards. The items are valued at approximately $1,500.

Sept. 26. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of Valley Green Road. A woman told police that an unknown person smashed the passenger side window of her vehicle. The following items were taken: one camouflage, pleather wallet, credit cards, social security cards, medical cards, N.J. driver's license and $60 in cash.

Sept. 28. Theft on the 8000 block of Ardleigh Street. An unknown person gained entry to a rented garage and stole the listed items: Ariens snow blower, skeleton Halloween decorations, and Allens sports bike. The theft occurred between Sept. 20 and Sept. 28, 2017. The items are valued at $980.

Sept. 29. Theft on the 8000 block of Germantown Avenue. The manager told police that between Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 19 at 9 a.m. an unknown person took the listed items: 10 boxes of expired flea vaccine. The items are valued at $4, 313.
