The following crime report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill from Sept. 11 to Sept. 17, 2017.
Sept. 13. Theft from vehicle on the 100 block of Meade Street. A woman told police that on Sept. 12 at approximately 9 p.m. she found her driver's side window open and the vehicle ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.
Sept. 14. Theft from building on Sept. 13 at approximately 6 p.m. on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street. The assistant manager of the apartment complex told police the following items were taken from the basement theater room: one white Epson video projector, model EBD-021C5. Staff members discovered the theft after conducting security checks of the facility. The theater can only be accessed by using a key FOB. Surveillance camera caught unknown offender entering and leaving the theater room on the above date and time. The item is valued at $800.
Sept. 14. Theft on the 8600 block of Germantown Avenue at approximately 5:40 p.m. A customer left a white iPhone 7 on the counter at the bank and an unknown person took the phone.
