The following crime report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill from July 16 to July 22, 2017.
July 20. Arrest made in theft on the 8600 block of Germantown Avenue. A man told police he left his wallet on the counter while performing a transaction at the bank at approximately 2:05 p.m. The man told police Vaughn Prichett, 56, took his wallet and placed it in her left pants pocket. Police arrived at the bank and arrested Prichett. The wallet was recovered.
July 21. Burglary on the 8800 block of Germantown Avenue on July 10 at approximately 11 p.m. Doctor’s office was burglarized and $216 in cash was taken.
July 22. Auto theft on the 8400 block of Stenton Avenue on July 21 at approximately 7 p.m. A man told police his vehicle was parked in the driveway and when he returned the vehicle was gone. Taken was a 2015 Ford Silver Fiesta with PA license JSG-1462. The vehicle is valued at $15,000.
