The following crime report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill from May 28 to June 2, 2017.
May 30. Theft from vehicle on the 8100 block of Germantown Avenue. A man told police that on May 26 at approximately 4 p.m. he left his 2013 white Ford 350 PA license plate ZCB-9597 parked on the 8100 block of Germantown Ave. When he returned on May 30, he discovered the vehicle was missing along with the keys. The owner told police that he thinks one of his employees may have taken the vehicle. The vehicle is valued at $38,000.
June 1. Auto Theft on the 200 block of East Mermaid Lane. A man told police he last saw his 2015 Hyundai Silver Elantra with PA license KDK-6231 on May 31 around 5 p.m. When he returned on June 1 around 7 a.m. the vehicle was gone. The following items were also inside the vehicle: Two wedding dresses, vehicle paper work and mail. The items are valued at $12,000.
