The following crime report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill from April 30 to May 6. As of publication time, only the following details were available regarding crimes on May 3 and May 6.
May 3. Theft on the 9100 block of Green Tree Road at approximately 12:08 p.m.
May 4. Burglary on the 100 block of East Moreland Avenue. A witness told police that he observed two teens on bikes enter his neighbor’s unlocked front door. The man also told police he observed the teens trying to open doors on parked vehicles. Both teens were stopped by police and positively identified by the witness. Police arrested the teens and transported them to the 35th District.
May 6. Recovered stolen vehicle on the 8300 block of Stenton Avenue at approximately 9:37 a.m.
Summary: Three crimes for the week – one burglary, one theft from vehicle and one recovered stolen vehicle.
