The following crime report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill from April 9 to April 15, 2017.
April 11. Theft on the 8500 block of Germantown Avenue at approximately 3:16 p.m., a woman told police that an elderly woman wearing glasses, light green pants and a floral jacket took several items from the store and placed them in a plastic bag. Then she fled northbound on Germantown Avenue. This is the second incident involving the offender. According to the police report, the woman stole one ceramic pineapple and one frame valued at $30.
April 13. Theft on the 7800 block of Devon Street. A woman told police that an unknown person stole her silver Mongoose bike (valued at $200) from her front porch.
