Crime Report April 13: One aggravated assault and one theft from vehicle

The following crime report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill from April 2 to April 8, 2017.

April 6. Aggravated assault at approximately 11:03 a.m. on the 200 block of East Mermaid Lane. A man told police that Sakirah DeVaughn scratched his left eye and eyebrow, as well as his neck. The man told police that she bit him causing him to bleed. The man also told police that she cut up his clothing in the closet. The woman was arrested by police when they returned on a repeat call.

April 6. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of Southampton Avenue. A woman told police she was in the shopping center around 5:40 p.m. when she came back she found her front passenger side window broken and the following items missing from her vehicle: a silver Apple MacBook, passport, make-up, notebooks, work cards and a leather briefcase with the letter K engraved on it.

Summary: Two crimes for the week – one aggravated assault and one theft from vehicle.
