Crime Report: One robbery, three thefts from vehicles and one theft

The following crime report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill between April 10 – April 16, 2016.

April 10. Theft from vehicle. 100 block of W. Moreland Ave. A woman told police that between 1:45 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. an unknown person broke the rear driver's side window of her vehicle parked on the street and took the following items: one green and black North Face backpack, one Lenovo laptop, laptop charger, various paperwork, one pink and black tote bag, make-up, approximately 18 Adderall 120 ML XR and coach bracelet.

April 11. Theft from vehicle. 8100 block Ardleigh St. A man told police that on April 11 at approximately 9 p.m. an unknown person removed headphones and sunglasses from his vehicle parked. No forced entry.

April 12. Theft. 8500 block Germantown Ave. A woman told police on April 11 that an unknown person went into the back room and took her wallet. The unknown person attempted to use her credit cards. The woman canceled her credit cards as soon as she realized they were missing.

April 13. Robbery 200 block E. Hartwell Lane. A teenager told police he was playing baseball with five or six other male teenagers in the far right corner of the field located in the rear of the recreation center at approximately 6:25 p.m. The teenager told police the other boys picked up his backpack and started running east towards the train tracks. The teenager told police they took his phone from the bag, dropped the bag and physically assaulted him by punching him numerous times on the right side of his face. The teenagers were last seen running on the tracks.

April 15. Theft from vehicle. Unit block W. Springfield Ave. A man told police an unknown person removed the following items: a black leather wallet, iPad, and blue Twill J-Crew coat from his blue Mercedes, which was parked on street at approximately 1:30 a.m. There were no surveillance cameras in the area.

Summary: Five Crimes for the week – One robbery, one theft and three thefts from vehicles.
