Crime Report: Five thefts from vehicles and one theft

The following are the crimes from the week of Jan. 24 to Jan. 31, 2016.

Jan. 26. Theft on the 100 block of Bethlehem Pike. At approximately 12:30 p.m.., the administrator of Fairview Care Center called the police to report the theft of four prescription pads that were taken from her locked desk drawer.

Jan. 27. Theft from vehicle on the 1500 block of Pastorius Street. At approximately 6 p.m., a man told police that an unknown person broke into his 2016 Chevy Equinox and took one iPhone cord and paperwork valued at $20.

Jan. 30. Theft from vehicle on the 500 block of W. Moreland Avenue. At approximately 10 p.m., an unknown person broke into the left rear window of a vehicle and took a Nikon camera and case valued at $400.

Jan. 30. Theft from vehicle on the 300 block of W. Springfield Avenue. At approximately 8:30 p.m., a woman told police that an unknown person broke her passenger side window and ransacked her 2012 GMC Acadia. Nothing was reported stolen at the time.

Jan. 30. Theft from vehicle on the 1500 block of Pastorius Street. A man told police that an unknown person broke into the passenger side window and his wallet, insurance card, Social Security card and son's Social Security card were missing. The items are valued at $100. (no time listed.)

Jan. 31. Theft from vehicle on the 100 block of Bethlehem Pike. At approximately 12:10 p.m., a man told police that an unknown person broke his rear driver window and took a blue and red backpack containing an Apple Mac laptop valued at $1,500.

Summary: Six crimes for the week - five thefts from vehicles and one theft.
