Advent Fair has gifts to help others

Saint Paul’s Advent Fair will take place on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall, 22 E. Chestnut Hill Ave.

This is an opportunity to find Christmas gifts packed with meaning. Outreach organizations such as Project Linus, a Children’s Orphanage in Guyana, the Chestnut Hill Rotary Club, Saint Paul’s youth selling T-shirts, the Whosoever Gospel Mission and many more will offer items that benefit people in need. The proceeds from the sale will help the vulnerable people they care for.

Judy Smith is crocheting baby blankets for children who are seriously ill. At the Advent Fair she first encountered Project Linus whose mission is to provide love and a sense of security to traumatized children through the donation of a blanket. Judy learned to crochet from her grandmother, so when she heard about the blanket donation program, she thought to herself, "I can do this!" She is now one of Project Linus’ “blanketeers.” Rarely is she seen without her current blanket project in hand.

Come join us on Dec. 6 at this year's Advent Fair and kick off your holiday season with an event full of community, charity, and joy!
