Eighth graders at Germantown Friends School enjoyed a full-day retreat, known as MOSAIC (Moving On Social and Individual Concerns), at the Chestnut Hill Friends Meetinghouse on Friday, Sept. 18.
This Class of 2020 participated in a Meeting for Worship, played team-building games, found their “true colors” with a personality test/art project, and bonded as a class.
“This is my 14th year teaching eighth grade, and it is so fun to watch the students learn and grow,” said grade advisor Chelsea Koehler. “Eighth graders can be mature and self-possessed one minute, and then, a minute later, going wild and having fun. Trying to get the whole group of 80 students into a giant jump rope was hilarious and challenging!”
