The Chestnut Hill Business District will host “Fashion and Food at the Fareway” on Friday, Sept.18, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a fashion show, food samplings from the Market at the Fareway and libation samplings. This free event will be held at the Market at Fareway, behind the newly-renovated Chestnut Hill Hotel at 8229 Germantown Ave.

Models will showcase fall clothing and accessories for men, women and children during an informal fashion show with guest MC Fox 29 anchor Dawn Timmeney. Participating stores include Artisans on the Avenue, J. McLaughlin, Statement Boutique Consignment, Chestnut Hill Sports, Greene Street Consignment, Serendipity, Ten Thousand Villages, Windfall Gallery, Villavillekula, and Mango. Gravers Lane Gallery will highlight its artisan jewelry. Powell & Mahoney and Southern Wines will offer samples of their cocktail and wine specials. Guests can also win prizes at the Chestnut Hill spinning wheel.

“Chestnut Hill is a fashion destination, with independent boutiques like Villavillekula, recently named Best Children’s Boutique by Philadelphia Magazine, and nationally-acclaimed retailers like J. McLaughlin, located along beautiful Germantown Ave. Whether you are shopping for yourself or your family, Chestnut Hill has everything you need,” said Martha B. Sharkey, Executive Director of the Chestnut Hill Business District.
