SLIDESHOW: 4th of July Parade

This past Saturday families came out in droves for the 99th Annual Chestnut Hill Bocce Club 4th of July Parade and Celebration. Hosted outside of the Bocce Club on Devon Street and Hartwell Lane, the celebration featured a children's parade down to the Water Tower Recreation Center, where kids in costumes displayed their decorated bicycles, wagons and floats, each one uniquely adorned in trinkets and colored red, white and blue. Following the parade, children were treated to face painting, pony rides, a moonbounce and a magician. The holiday celebration continued the nearly 100-year tradition of families coming together to honor the history of the country, all the while celebrating the history of the neighborhood.
