‘Fashion and Food at the Fareway’

The Chestnut Hill Business District will host its second “Fashion and Food at the Fareway” on Friday, April 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. outside the Market at Fareway, 8229 Germantown Ave.

This free, family-friendly event will feature two fashion shows from Chestnut Hill clothiers emceed by WPVI-TV 6ABC’s Jamie Apody.

“Chestnut Hill is a shoppers’ paradise and we are ushering in spring with an outdoor fashion show on April 10th to showcase the incredible clothing, jewelry and accessories available at Chestnut Hill shops.” said Martha B. Sharkey, executive director of the Chestnut Hill Business District. “The evening will also highlight the exceptional culinary offerings in Chestnut Hill with lots of delicious samples and special offers from the Market at Fareway.”

Two fashion shows will be presented during the evening. The first will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. Food and special discounts will be offered by the Market at the Fareway vendors, including The Brunettes’ Bookshop Bakery, The Cheese Trap, Chicko Tako, Metropolitan Bakery, PhilaDing, Photo Lounge, Poppy’s Café, Ranck’s Deli, Shundeez Market and Touch of Class.

There will also be cocktails from Powell & Mahoney, wine by Constellation Brands, beer tastings by Gentle Giant Brewing, and espresso cocktails from Poppy’s Café.

Music will be provided by DJ Jamey Grimball. The first 100 people to arrive will receive gift bags with discount coupons, sweets and samples from Chestnut Hill restaurants and retailers.

Participating shops include: Artisans on the Avenue, Chestnut Hill Sports, Delphine Gallery, El Quetzal, Gravers Lane Gallery, Greene Street Consignment, Greene Street Kids, J. McLaughlin, Jos.A.Banks, Mango, Quelque Chose, roots, inc., Style Camp, Statement Boutique Consignment, Ten Thousand Villages, Threadwell, and Villavillekula.
