It was another successful run last Saturday, March 28, for the Chestnut Hill Community Association's Hoops Madness 3-on-3 hoops tournament.

The event, which ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy gymnasium, attracted hundreds of kids who formed teams of three and four to compete all day in half court basketball.

The event was again organized by former CHCA president Brien Tilley with the support of Matt Paul Sports. Both Tilley and Paul directed the action on several different basketball courts throughout the course of the day.

At the close of the tournament, Tilley awarded winning teams with prizes, including free pizza parties from Cosimo's and other gift certificates.

Sponsors for the event were: Bowman Properties, Chestnut Hill Hotel, Chestnut Hill College, Janice Manzi and Louise D’Alessandro of Elfant Wissahickon, Temple Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Valley Green Bank, Blake Development, Cosimo’s Pizza Café, Chestnut Hill Sports, Top of the Hill Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry, and ESF Summer Camps, Chill on the Hill, Sam's Italian Market and Scoogi's Classic Italian Restaurant.
