Now for something a little different for today's DAILY DOSE -- a video we just have to share. In this 12 minute clip, President Barack Obama chatted with David Simon, the former Baltimore Sun police reporter and creator of the greatest television series of all time: "The Wire." Nothing else on TV addressed the issues that faced -- and in many ways still effect -- big, post industrial cities. The show covered the drug trade, unions, education and politics in its five year run on HBO. The interview, which took place in the White House and was posted to the White House YouTube channel, is an interesting discussion between Obama and Simon on effects of the drug war on incarceration rates and the challenges of reintegrating prisoners into society. And for the record, Obama's favorite character is Omar.
