Kathryn Greer, 63, of Fort Washington and Avalon, N.J., owner of a fabric shop in Chestnut Hill, died March 18 of cardiac arrest at Abington Hospital.
Mrs. Greer had been proprietor of Fabrics on the Hill at 8434 Germantown Ave. from 2006 until the shop closed in 2012. Before purchasing the business, she had worked for the former owners for 10 years.
Born Kathryn Krantz and raised in Philadelphia, she was a graduate of Northeast High School and attended what was then the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science.
She was an active volunteer for the ConKerr Cancer organization and was a member of the Stone Harbor Lions Club.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; a daughter, Katie Flowers, and a sister, Barbara Mambu.
