The annual Teenagers Inc. service and learning trip to Guatemala is off to a roaring start with 19 teens and seven chaperones from the Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, Germantown and surrounding suburban areas signed up and ready to go.
These teens have already begun to prepare and meet every month despite the weather. If you'd like to support the efforts of these young people, consider attending Carnaval Guatemala, a fundraiser for the trip that takes place at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 22 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., on Friday, March 27 from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 and include buffet dinner with four entrees, salads, dessert, wine, beer and DJ vibes. Bring that check book or cash for chances on auction items including Flyers tickets and a wine raffle.
Donations or tickets can be purchased on-line at www.teensincphilly.org or contact Marianne Dwyer at Mdwyer325@aol.com or 215-242-4976.
