Police released surveillance video from an armed robbery that happened last week in front of a Mt. Airy resident's home.
According to the police report, on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a 53-year-old woman was walking to her house located on the 100 block of West Cliveden Street when a man approached her armed with a handgun.
In the video, the suspect slips and falls on the snow allowing the woman time to close the door and get safely inside.
According to the police report, when the woman closed the door, the suspect began kicking the door. After failing to gain entry, the man fled on foot and was last seen going west on Cliveden Street.
The suspect is described as a 6'0” black male with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark tan and black hooded sweatshirt, black hat with a brim, dark colored pants and tan boots. The suspect is armed with a handgun.
