Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect who abducted a 22-year-old woman near the 100 block of West Coulter Street in Germantown.

According to the police around 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, of the 100 block of W. Hansberry St., was walking on Coulter Street near Greene Street, when she was abducted by a man.

A witness told police, he heard Freeland-Gaither screaming for help as she was forced into a 4-door vehicle, possibly a grey Ford Taurus.

Police released disturbing surveillance video of the kidnapping on Monday, Nov. 3. The video shows a man pull up his vehicle and park on the West side of Coulter Street. He gets out of the car and crosses the street. Freeland-Gaither is then seen crossing the street at the corner with the man walking quickly behind her. The suspect then brutally grabs her and drags her towards his car, as she attempts to flee her attacker.
