A few of the fashion items from local boutiques that will be featured at Food and Fashion at the Fareway this Friday: a dress from Statement and children's clothes from Villavillekula.Chestnut Hill hosts Fashion and Food at the Fareway on Friday evening, Sept.19, from 5 to 8 p.m. with a fashion show, food samplings from local restaurants, a sneak preview of the Chestnut Hill Community Association’s Black & White Gala, and more.
One of the goals of this new event is to bring customers and retailers together in a beautiful, festive environment.
Models will showcase fall clothing and accessories for men, women and children during an informal fashion show. Participating stores include Artisans on the Avenue, J. McLaughlin, roots inc., Style Camp, Statement Boutique Consignment, El Quetzal, Jos. A. Bank, Villavillekula, and Delphine Gallery. Gravers Lane Gallery will highlight its artisan jewelry, Bala Box will feature hair care, and local salons — 3000BC WellMed Spa and Salon 90 — will offer chair massages and raffle gift baskets respectively.
The evening also offers an opportunity to explore the newly renovated Market at the Fareway and meet a few of the vendors there including Florum Flowers, Poppy’s Café, The Cheese Trap, and the Brunette’s Bookshop Bakery. The evening promises to be very entertaining, and the community is invited to join the fun.
