The Historical Society of Fort Washington is sponsoring a lecture on African Americans during the Civil War by Paula Gidjunis, instructor at the Civil War Institute at Manor College.
The lecture will be at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 16, at Clifton House, 473 S. Bethlehem Pike, Fort Washington.
She will share her research on some of the experiences of the African Americans who were soldiers during the Civil War.
Gidjunis is on the boards of the Historical Society of Montgomery County and the Delaware Valley Civil War Round Table and chairs its Preservation Committee. The lecture is free and will be followed by light refreshments.
