Runcie Lea Tatnall, Jr. (born 10/6/1928) died peacefully after an extended illness. He was born in Philadelphia to Runcie Lea Tatnall and Corlies Earnshaw Tatnall and lived in the Philadelphia area until his retirement to Williamsburg, VA and then Raleigh, NC. Runcie graduated from The William Penn Charter School and attended Haverford College. He was a life insurance agent for the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and later served as President of the Mutual Association for Professional Services (MAPS) until his retirement. He was a long-time member of the Philadelphia Cricket Club, a dedicated Philadelphia Phillies fan, and a member of St. Thomas’ Church, Whitemarsh. He is survived by sons Richard S. and Christopher G., both of Richmond, VA, Jennifer McLeod (Edward) of Raleigh, NC, grandchildren Randall McLeod (Luci) and Amy D. McLeod, and great-grandson Bruce McLeod and sister Kathleen Baldwin. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or First Presbyterian Church, Raleigh, NC (Our Hope for Years to Come Campaign). Arrangements made through the Cremation Society of NC.
