Crime Report: One robbery, 9 thefts

The following crimes are from the week of July 20 to July 26, 2014.

July 20. 7800 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a pink folder containing a driver's license, marriage certificate, green cards, two birth certificates, five Social Security cards, seven passports and various pay stubs.

July 20. 8400 Lynnewood Road. Complainant states that an unknown person stole two BMX bikes off her patio.

July 22. 8700 Seminole Avenue. Complainant states she parked at this location and when she returned she found driver's side rear window smashed on her Subaru. Taken was a brown backpack, a purse containing one Range Coach wallet containing various credit cards and identification, money, one black iPhone 5S with purple case.

July 23. 200 block E. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states he was just about to enter his apartment entrance when he was approached by a black male who said “Give it up.” Offender snatched his phone out of his hand and then ran out to street and jumped into a maroon, mid-size SUV and went eastbound on Willow Grove Ave.

July 24. 200 block W. Northwestern Avenue. Between 7 and 9:23 a.m., an unknown person smashed the front passenger side window of the car and stole a red wallet, money, credit cards, driver's license, Social Security card and other identification.

July 24. 8000 block Seminole Avenue. Complainant states he parked his 2009 silver Toyota Highlander and at about 1:28 p.m. he heard vehicle start up and speed down his driveway.

July 24. 8700 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a silver bottle of Patron Tequila. Offender, white male with full beard, wearing a red and white baseball cap, a white t-shirt, and khaki shorts. Offender fled southbound on Germantown Ave.

July 25. Unit block W. Sunset Avenue. Between 9 p.m. on July 24 and 9 a.m. on July 25, an unknown person stole a teak wood lounge, a chair, and a chair with footstool.

July 26. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that a black female came into store and took eight cans of Similac baby formula from shelf and left store without paying for items. Offender fled in a late model Town & Country Minivan.

July 26. 100 block W. Chestnut Hill Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person entered his garage and took a bicycle. Complainant states that he is unsure if garage door was open or not.

Summary – Ten crimes for week: one stolen vehicle, one robbery, two thefts from vehicles and six other thefts.
