A Chestnut Hill resident is in custody after a shooting on Saturday, May 31. Police arrested Mitchell Johnson, 60, of 200 block of E. Willow Grove Ave. and have charged him with aggravated assault and other related charges.
According to the police report, police arrived about 11:24 p.m. at an apartment on the 200 block of East Willow Grove Ave. and discovered a 22-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman lying in a hallway. Both victims were suffering from gun shot wounds to their legs.
According to the police report, the victims' told police that the shooter was hiding inside one of the apartments. Police gained entry into the apartment and arrested him without incident.
Police said the shooting was domestic.
