Two Norwood-Fontbonne Academy athletes who were recently honored at the school's spring Athletic Assembly.
Andrew Cossetti is the recipient of the Russell G. Clements Memorial Award, which was presented by Joseph Pié of the Chestnut Hill Youth Sports Organization along with varsity baseball coach Michael Mannix. The award is presented to a baseball player who best exemplifies the qualities of honesty, integrity and sportsmanship and is named for former NFA teacher and coach, Russell Clements, who passed away suddenly in 2001.
Jacquelyn Nyzio is the recipient of the Arthur Bolton Memorial Award. The award, named for a former parent of accomplished field hockey player, Katherine Bolton ’00, is presented to the eighth grade athlete who has demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship and proficiency in field hockey.
“Jacquelyn has been an incredibly talented field hockey player throughout her years at NFA and is very deserving of this award,” said Porter. “We can’t wait to see her play next year at Mount St. Joseph Academy.”
