Stephen Gittelman

Stephen Gittelman, of Wyndmoor, PA,- woodworker, carpenter, craftsman, all around handyman; an avid reader, swing dancer, music lover; a member of a Thich Nhat Hanh meditation community and a local baseball team. Above all, he was a loyal friend. Steve died on January 29, 2014, of Alzheimer's disease at age 70. Steve is survived by his many friends and by his partner, Susan Heineman, her children Scott Shostak (Eileen) and Mark Shostak (Emily) and "grand kids" David, Ben and Elena, by his children Sonya and Craig and by his step children, Tanya and Shasha. He was predeceased by his second wife, Martha (nee Jacobson) Gittelman, an artist and educator. He was born June 8, 1943, in South Philadelphia and grew up in Logan. The son of Max and Eleanor (Flitter), the older brother of Arlene and Adele, all now deceased. Friends and neighbors are invited to celebrate his life on the afternoon of his birthday, June 8th, 2-5PM, at the home of Steve and Sue, 8100 Flourtown Avenue, Wyndmoor, PA 19038.
