After a long winter, Teenagers Inc., is ready to shake off those cold and dark days and spring into action.
We had a music-filled winter, with several performances that gave us record-breaking numbers coming into the Teen Center. The bands that performed for us were Skyline and Simon’s Absence. We had a few solo acts that really impressed us this year, too: Lily Palmer, Derek Smith and Matt Madden. Thank you for making this winter sound wonderful, and helping us spread the word about Teenagers Inc., our great Teen Center and the fun things we do!
Looking-on-to spring, we are hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Tuesday April 16, at LaSalle High School. The tournament is $30/team, 3 people on a team. The proceeds go to our Guatemala trip. We look forward to hosting this event every year, and it brings all of our basketball fanatics out! On Saturday, April 19, we will ROCK Saturday morning with the first ever Rock Climbing Trip to the Philadelphia Rock Gym in East Falls.
The trip is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. We have two hours of climb time (10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.), and all the equipment you need to get up the wall. Parents are more than welcome to attend.
Living Healthy on the Hill will happen on May 3, a health and wellness fair for families! Water Tower will become the backdrop for this day of fun.
It will include live music, dancing, healthy snacks, face painting, family health resources, and other partnerships with various health providers. This day is a collaboration between the Chestnut Hill Community Association, Chestnut Hill Pharmacy and Teenagers Inc. Don’t forget the Annual Home and Garden Fest on May 4 all along Germantown Avenue. Come see us at our table and say hi!
