Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, the Philadelphia Ceili Group will host a concert by world-renowned Irish musicians at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Irish Center (Commodore Barry Club), 6815 Emlen St. in Mt. Airy.
Heading the list of performers will be Mick Moloney, an internationally-known musician and recipient of a National Heritage Award who has delighted audiences around the world with his renditions of Irish songs and instrumental pieces of traditional music on banjo, guitar and mandolin.
Joining Maloney will be All-Ireland Champion Billy McComiskey on accordion and “Riverdance” star Athena Tergis on fiddle.
Also appearing – and making her American debut – will be Michelle Mulcahy, winner of All-Ireland Championships on the harp, accordion and concertina, and one of Ireland’s most skillful and creative harpers.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for Ceili Group members. Children are free. For additional information contact Marybeth at 610-436-4134.
